Notes - During World War ll he served Connie Smythe's 30th Battery Regimental number 132870, Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93 166, Box 4921 - 5. Alf was awarded the Croix de Guerre by the French government for heroism during World War II, saved Connie Smythes' life, along with a number of other men by pulling them to safety.
After the war he was a Goal Judge at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, until around the age of 60 years. You could not find a better man on this earth or elsewhere. He will always be my Hero.
