Wallace, Lindsay, Presbyterian, by licence Obituary: Former County Warden Fred White Passes at Gooderham Residence Mr. Fred White, Prominent Gooderham resident passed away at his residence in Gooderham on Friday, Feb. 6th in his 59th year after several months illness. The late Mr. White was widely known throughout Haliburton County having been Warden of the, Reeve of Glamorgan Township and active in municipal affairs for many years. He has been head of the Gooderham Orange Lodge and was an elder of the Latter Day Saints Church. Mr. White was a devoted Christian and was greatly respected by all who knew him. Left to mourn are his widow, three sons William, Frederick and Albert and four daughters Clara (Mrs. Wm. Thibadeau of Bobcaygeon), Olive (Mrs. Ford Peacock of St. Catharines), Pearl (Mrs. Graham of Gelert) and Beatrice (Mrs. Wilson of St. Catharines). Also surviving are two brothers and four sisters and several grandchildren. Rev. Wilson of Toronto of the Latter Day Saints Church conducted the funeral services in the Gooderham United Church. The pallbearers were Mesr's, Albert White, Fred White, William White, Ford Peacock, Kenneth Graham, and James Wilson. Interment in the Gooderham Cemetery. The many beautiful floral tributes attested to the high esteem win which the friends and neighbors held the late Mr. White.
