I really appreciate any help on the families I am researching. I would love to have a GED COM on the Davy family. I have Nina May Blakely born June 3, 1906. I have her Canadian birth certificate, born Deseronto, Hastings County Province of Ontario, Canada #06-05-022353. I also have her adoption papers, dated 26 Jan 1920 and there is also Jan. 27,1920. It also states that Nina was 13 years old and had lived with the McGarveys' upward of 10 years. Her mom died Mar. 1910, and she was 4 years old. I have Harriett and William Blakely's obits. We have in Rochester the NYS Vitals for all of New York except for New York City. I found the certificate # of Nina and Harlon Walraths marriage and she went by Blakely on the certificate. Rochester has the records for birth, marriage and deaths from the late 1880's. If you have a question on a date or where they were married, born or died let me know, I can look it up for you. I have found about 35 of the above. It is all on microfiche. I would be happy to look up some for you. I have Aunt Shirley listed on the adoption papers as Shirila S. McGarvey. There were so many MacTurk's there that the town is still nicknamed "MacTurkville". She died on 5/12/1993 in Fulton, New York. I have names and birth dates for five of their children. Do you know if that is all of the children? Do you know what either Chester or Ellen did for a living? I have ancestry information on Ellen going back to before 1799. Here is her parents information: Thomas MacTurk b. 12/18/1865 in Glasgow, Scotland, d. 8/15/1916 in Hailesboro, New York married Jessie Fraser Stewart (b. 10/16/1866 in Dundee, Scotland d. 11/22/1937 Fulton, New York) on 1/9/1890 in Gouverneur, New York. Thomas was a jute mill worker in Scotland and worked at a talc mine once in the US. Thomas and Jessie came to the US about 1886-1888. They married in January 1890 and that Spring they returned to Scotland to care for a sick relative. They had their first two children in Scotland and then returned to the US.
